Purchase Process at Kiwi's Nest of Exotic Birds

Baby birds may be reserved while they are being hand fed with a deposit. A deposit is non-refundable and is applied toward the total purchase price. In the event we are unable to deliver the bird to you for any reason, then we agree to refund your deposit to you. The balance is due prior to pickup balance may be paid in payments while the baby bird is being hand-fed the final payment may be made at pickup in cash. Payments made other than the deposit are refundable.

Once you have reserved your baby bird you are welcome to visit often to begin to get to know your new family member until he is ready to go home with you. We will send weekly photos and updates through email so you can watch your baby grow. You will be amazed at how much difference you will see from week to week.

Deposits:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% or 50%, depending on the payment plan decided upon by the purchaser for an unweaned baby, of the purchase price shall be required to hold a bird. We do not take deposits on eggs. If you are interested in a baby that is due to hatch, please email us and we will place you on an waiting list. Once the chick has hatched and had strong growth and health for 3 weeks, we will notify all the people on the waiting list in the order which they inquired. At that time they have 7 days to place a deposit on the baby and return the sales agreement signed. If the deposit and sales agreement are not returned in 7 days we will notify the next in line.

Method of Payments:
We accept cash, money orders, cashiers checks as well as credit cards through Pay Pal. To pay with Pay Pal there is a 3% fee that they charge me.

Payment Plans:
We offer flexible payment terms to meet our customers budgets. For unweaned babies the following payment plans are available. Cages, if being purchased with the baby, can be included in the payment plan.

Non-refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price with the balance being paid weekly or biweekly in equal payments over the weaning period.
Non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price with the balance being paid in full upon weaning.
If you are purchasing a fully weaned baby, a Non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price with the balance being paid weekly in equal payments over the period of 1 month.
